Hilton’s Double Tree hotel is planning to open its first hotel in Turkey’s Aegean region, in the resort town of Kuşadası, in March 2013.

The hotel, to be located in a historic area across from the marina, will have 50 suite rooms. This number could increase to 87, according to Naile Göçen, Executive Board President of Göçtur Investments, the company that is investing in the hotel project Turkey. The project plans to restore a historic building Turkey, thereby combining the old with the new.

Hilton Worldwide’s Turkey, Russia and Eastern European Development Vice President Mike Collini told Hürriyet that Hilton had been in Turkey for 56 years, but because of Turkey’s development over recent years, Hilton plans to add 13 new hotels to its 20 hotel portfolio.
